Welcome to Western New York Retriever Club, Inc.
We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting hunting with, breeding, training and handling of well-trained retrievers.
We began in the 1940's and hold different types of events throughout the year - Sanctioned (fun) Trials, Licensed Events, and training sessions. Retriever events bring together dog handlers, hunters, sports enthusiasts, and people who just enjoy being outdoors and seeing a trained dog do what they were born & bred to do - retriever game on land and water. Licensed field trials, Licensed hunt tests and Fun Trials give dogs an opportunity to show their qualities in competition and under natural hunting conditions.
Dogs and handlers from across the country attend licensed events while training sessions and fun trials generally attract local dogs and handlers. All are invited to join our training sessions to observe or participate and learn more about our club.
Whether you are titling your dog, training a great hunting dog, or both... we are your resource for help, support and encouragement!!!
C'mon out and train with us!!!
